Some nationalities may be required to apply in person -
please check the French Embassy website for list.

ORIGINALS PLUS ONE PHOTOCOPY OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED

1.  FULL PASSPORT with UK Residency Visa valid at least 3 months. Passport should be in good condition with one completely blank page for the visa.

2. 1 or 2 passport-sized PHOTOGRAPHS (see below).

3. 1 or 2 completed and signed visa application forms and completed and signed client contact sheet (please print off this website and fill in one for each person). Please read our Terms and Conditions. Under age children - both parents should sign the child’s visa application form if possible.

4. CHILDREN/SPOUSES of EC NATIONALS. Original unexpired EC passport of parent/spouse plus full original Birth Certificate/original Marriage Certificate which needs to be in English or translated and stamped by your Embassy (if you were not married in the UK you will need to take your marriage certificate to your own embassy and get it stamped as authentic before the Spanish Consulate will accept it. The authentication by your embassy must then have an apostille attached to it. This is an international agreement that counties will recognise each others documents. If your own embassy is not able to do the apostille, you need to take your authenticated marriage certificate to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, who will attach an apostille). Spouse and children of EC nationals do not need to pay a visa fee (only our service charge) on production of original Birth Certificate/Marriage Certificate & EC Spouse’s passport. (If you cannot produce these original documents please see our information on French Visa Requirements for Other Nationalities as you will need to provide all the documents listed on those pages.) Please note that if you are divorced from the EC spouse or they are deceased, you will need to pay the fee and supply all documents relevant to your nationality. The same applies to children where the EC parent is not the child’s birth parent. A child travelling with one parent or alone needs a letter of consent to travel by the non-travelling parent(s), along with the non-travelling parent(s) passport(s) (original plus 1 copy). Please consult the French Embassy website for sample letter. This will also apply to children whose parents are divorced, separated or never married, unless the father is not named on the birth certificate or the sole parent has a court document giving them sole custody of the child or a death certificate in the case of a deceased parent. All documents must be in English or translated and stamped by your Embassy.
Nannies/domestic workers in a private household require original passport of their employer plus a letter of support from employer and employer‘s bank statement.

Chinese and East European nationals (including Russian) and some others (check French Embassy’s website) need 2 photos and to complete and sign 2 application forms.
