1. PASSPORT valid at least 6 months, in good condition with one completely blank page to put the visa on. Non-UK passport holders or holders of UK passports which have been issued outside the UK are required to prove 1 year’s residence in UK otherwise the visa will be referred to the authorities in India and there will be a delay and additional fee. An employer’s letter where the applicant has been in the same employment in the UK for more than 1 year is generally acceptable proof or utility bill or bank statement going back 1 year.

BUSINESS VISAS a letter from your UK employer (ORIGINAL)
confirming they are sending you on business/to a conference, who the business/conference
is with, exact nature of the business/conference, the dates and that they are
taking financial responsibility for you PLUS AN INVITATION from the
HOST ORGANISATION IN INDIA with the dates they are inviting you and
exact details of what you will be doing there (fax acceptable).

+ £9.40 South African passports up to 6 months. £10 Extra for persons resident less than one year in the UK. This is additional to any visa fee or IVAC fee above and persons resident less than one year will have their applications referred and they take a minimum of 2 weeks. £9.40 is the IVAC's fees (£6 plus VAT). We cannot lodge directly anymore to the Indian High Commission and all applications must go through an Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC). Most visas are issued as 6 months, its very difficult to get longer.

Service charge may rise during busy periods. Service charge includes collection and delivery within the Circle Line in London from offices during business hours.
Urgent applications (travel within 1 working day of visa being ready) ADD £20. We may be unable to accept urgent applications or to collect and deliver during busy periods.
Fees
payable in cash in advance when we receive your documents from you. If you live
outside London and are posting your application, please include postal orders
(if travelling within 10 days, otherwise cheque is acceptable) payable to
Mobile Visa Service Ltd and include a return self-addressed Special
Delivery envelope. Please send your passport to us by Special Delivery
(insures documents and guarantees next working day delivery), cost
£4.50, and call us the day you post it leaving a telephone number. For
a very small extra fee the Post Office offers a higher level of insurance for
Special Delivery post, which covers for consequential loss. We recommend you
consider paying for this extra level of cover. Please ask at the Post Office.
