DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

. One completed and signed application
form and a completed and signed client
contact sheet (please print off this website and fill in one for each
person/family). Please read our Terms and
Conditions.
2.
One passport-sized PHOTOGRAPH.
ORIGINALS
PLUS ONE COPY REQUIRED OF ALL THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS. IF YOU DO NOT COPY
YOUR OWN DOCUMENTS WE WILL CHARGE AN EXTRA £5 FOR COPYING (only
the bio-data and UK visa pages need to be copied from the passport).

PASSPORT valid 6 months in good condition with 1 blank
page and UK Residency Visa valid at least 3 months.
4.
RETURN TICKET to Portugal or CONFIRMATION
of your return travel which must state that everything is CONFIRMED
and FULLY PAID. Your name must appear on the confirmation.
5. CONFIRMATION OF HOTEL (doesn’t need to be paid).
Each person’s name who needs the visa must
appear on the confirmation or if staying with friends/family
Embassy will accept a letter of invitation with bill/bank statement from
the person inviting you, showing their name and the address of the property
in Portugal.
6. An original BANK STATEMENT (last month’s) with
£30 per person for each day in Portugal.
7. LETTER FROM EMPLOYER/UNIVERSITY confirming you are
employed/a student. Original, not more than 1 month old. If dependant
letter from your spouse/parent confirming they are supporting you together
with their employer’s letter and their bank statement (see above).
If self-employed, letter from accountant/solicitor. Letters which are
not original or which are more than one month old at date of lodging in
Embassy will not be accepted. Payslips/contracts/offers
of employment or place at college will not be accepted
instead of a letter.

Travel insurance.
9 . CHILDREN/SPOUSES/NANNIES. Full original Birth
Certificate/original Marriage Certificate which needs to be in
English or translated and stamped by your Embassy plus original unexpired
passport of the EC spouse/parent and letter from main breadwinner of family
confirming they are supporting their family (plus documents above). (If
you were not married in the UK you will need to take your marriage certificate
to your own embassy and get it stamped as authentic before the Portuguese
Consulate will accept it. The authentication by your embassy must then
have an apostille attached to it. This is an international agreement that
counties will recognise each others documents. If your own embassy is
not able to do the apostille, you need to take your authenticated marriage
certificate to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, who will attach an
apostille.) Spouse and children of EC nationals do not
need to a pay visa fee (only our service charge) on production of original
Birth Certificate/Marriage Certificate and EC Spouse’s passport.
Persons in the UK on a dependant’s visa must show
passport of the spouse/parent on whom they are dependant plus original
birth/marriage certificate even if dependant on a non-EC national and/or
over 18. Children under 18 travelling alone or with one parent
require the written permission of the non-travelling parent(s) plus a
copy of that parent(s) passport(s) unless the parent has a document giving
them sole custody of the child or certificate of adoption by a step-parent
or the child only has one parent named on the birth certificate. Where
the EC parent is not the birth parent of the child the visa fee may be
charged by the Embassy. Nannies/domestic workers in a private
household require original passport of their employer plus a
letter of support from employer and employer‘s bank statement.
10. BUSINESS VISAS: The above documents plus a
letter from your UK employer (ORIGINAL) confirming they are sending
you on business/to a conference, who the business/conference is with,
exact nature of the business/conference, the dates and that they are taking
financial responsibility for you PLUS AN INVITATION from the HOST
ORGANISATION IN PORTUGAL with the dates they are inviting you
and exact details of what you will be doing there (fax acceptable).
Service Charge: £65 per
person (adults) depending on time of year
£25 per child (travelling with at least one adult
paying full service charge)
Visa fee:
£19 for 2 months multiple entry or £25
for 6 months multiple entry.
The
Portuguese Consulate generally only issues a single entry visa, unless
you have proof of a 2nd trip.Service
charge may rise during busy periods. Urgent applications (travel
within 1 working day of visa being ready) ADD £20. We may be unable
to accept urgent applications or to collect and deliver during busy periods.
Multiple entry visas are issued at Embassy’s discretion, proof of
a 2nd trip may be necessary. Service charge includes collection and delivery
within the Circle Line in London from offices during business hours. Fees
payable in cash in advance when we receive your documents from you.
If you live outside London and are posting your application, please
include postal orders (if travelling within 10 days, otherwise cheque
is acceptable) payable to Mobile Visa Service Ltd and include a return
self-addressed Special Delivery envelope. Please send
your passport to us by Special Delivery (insures documents and
guarantees next working day delivery), cost £4, and call us the
day you post it leaving a telephone number. For a very small extra fee
the Post Office offers a higher level of insurance for Special Delivery
post, which covers for consequential loss. We recommend you consider paying
for this extra level of cover. Please ask at the Post Office.
