embassy must then have an apostille attached to it. This is an international
agreement that counties will recognise each others documents. If your
own embassy is not able to do the apostille, you need to take your authenticated
marriage certificate to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, who will
attach an apostille), ORIGINAL full birth certificate (children)

VISA
CHANGES FOR SPAIN
The
Spanish Consulate in London has changed the procedure for applying for
a Spanish Schengen visa. Applicants may now apply for a visa only
one of two ways:
1) By sending a photocopy of their passport & UK visa by post to the
Spanish Consulate and requesting an appointment or
2) via an agency (such as ourselves) authorised to lodge at the Consulate.
It is no longer possible to go and queue at the Spanish Consulate to obtain
a visa. The Consulate estimates a minimum 2 to 8 week delay to
obtain an appointment should you wish to apply yourself, perhaps longer
during the busy season.
Should you wish to use our services, please be aware that each
agency may only lodge a maximum of 5 passports per week on a Thursday.
We must submit a list to the Consulate, together with a photocopy of the
passport and UK visa each Monday for an appointment on the Thursday of
the following week (ie. 10 days later). Therefore, we
need a copy of your passport and documents by the FRIDAY 2 weeks before
it is to be lodged. Once the application has been lodged on the
Thursday, for most nationalities the visa will be issued 2 working days
later, ie. passports will normally be ready the following Monday. Some
nationalities may take 2 to 3 weeks, for example Chinese and Phillipino.
Please see the Spanish Consulate's
website for a full list.
Since the passports we can lodge have been limited to 5 per week (previously
we could lodge 5 every day), demand can be very much greater than
what we are actually able to lodge. Therefore, we would
urge you to think about your travel plans well in advance. However,
please only reserve a place if you definitely will have all of the documents
(including passport) before the date of your reserved space. It will not
be possible to refund you if we have held a space for your passport. All
documents are required to be with us by the Tuesday of the week in which
the application will be submitted to the Consulate. This allows time for
us to check all of the documents and for you to sort out anything that
may be missing or incomplete.
To
make an advance booking, please post or fax (please call us before faxing)
a photocopy of your passport (information page only - the one
with your photo, date of birth, etc on it) and UK visa, together
with a cheque for the full amount (Service charge £50 to £70
dependant to time of year, visa fees £17.25 single entry, £24.15
multiple entry, EC Spouse/child Free) to Mobile Visa Service Ltd. with
the advance booking slip at the end of this page. Please include
a contact telephone number. Places may be reserved on a first come, first
served basis. Where demand is greater than places available for a particular
week, they will be allocated according to travel date. Please
do not book a place on a list unless you definitely intend to travel and
are absolutely sure you can collect all of your documents by the required
date. It may not be possible to refund you or transfer you to another
date if all places are full.
PHILIPPINO, COLUMBIAN, INDONESIAN and other “referred”
nationalities
Please
see the Spanish Consulate's website
for a full list of nationalities which are "referred"
and which will therefore take longer to process.
The
Spanish Consulate has made some changes for the above passport holders.
We can lodge the initial application but the applicant must come in person
when there visa has been authorised collect their visa. There will also
be a delay of minimum 2 - 3 weeks starting from the time we lodge the
application in the Consulate as the application will be referred to the
authorities in Spain and the decision will not be made by the London Consulate.
Applicants are requested NOT to book tickets. When you are notified that
you visa has been approved then you must appear at the Consulate in person
with the tickets. All other documents remain the same.
